Stone Age is a 60' Jim Whyte Design, ferro cement cutter. She is 14 1/2 feet wide and is classified as a modified double ender. With 50 feet at the water line she has a great turn of speed as well. It is our research lab, or home and helps our piece of mind. Having everything we need, plus a bunch more, I'm happy to say, and not having a huge impact on the planet.

She is a full keel design that draws 8' of water. Her main sail is 660 square feet and her Genoa is 1,206 square feet. I don't think we have sailed her to her limits yet. Comfortable sailing at a beam reach with 25 knots across the Georgia Strait, averaged 8 knots. That was only with the Yankee and Stay out.
This is Stone age just after she was painted grey. Yes, you might think it's white, but there is a hint of grey in there too. There will be red window stripes painted on and the name and home port on the Bow and stern. we are also in the middle of new furniture down below and have an electric drive conversion planned for the new year. So we can head around Vancouver island and test it.
Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in spending a week or two traveling with us. Arrangements are mad on a private one on one basis and you would be surprised as to just how easy it is to spend a week with us. And we'd love to have you.

Here we are literally sailing into the sunset. this was our very first sail on her. We bought her 3 days later. That's how much we liked it. You can follow the re-fit by clicking here.
We have 2 children, our daughter, Charlotte (17) and son, Kingsley (15) so please bring your children. There are 2 kayaks for bay exploring and always extra snorkeling gear and Lucy and I are both certified S.C.U.B.A. divers so we can show you some really great places here on the West Coast of British Columbia. Bring your family. You'll have a great time.
